Overview

Wireless computing has become a vast area of research with the proliferation of wireless networks and small portable devices. A variety of Internet-enabled devices are in wide-spread use. One of the major concerns of wireless mobile computing is the limited battery life of mobile devices.
Our group is concerned about the energy issues of wireless handheld devices, specifically Compaq iPAQ. We have state-of-the-art equipments and software for measuring energy consumption of handheld devices. Our objective is to devise an adaptive system to monitor the energy usage and perform dynamic adaptation to increase the battery life of the handhelds.
